At this time of Thanksgiving, we wish to extend our gratitude to all our volunteers and members of the community who have supported us these past twenty one months, during our tenure as members of the Board of Directors. We appreciate the numerous contributions of the Medical Advisory Board and Patient Advocate Committee, who have helped develop programs and resources for our clients. Numerous sponsors and volunteers have enabled us to provide care and resources for our growing clientele, their family members and friends towards our mission... to instill hope to those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
In these economic times, all busineses experience difficulties, and agencies that rely on volunteers and donations, additionally rely on its board members and other volunteers. Being a small local entity has been a significant challenge to our earnings, visibility and volunteers. With much thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization and that process is now underway. As our Chairman steps down, none of us are currently capable of volunteering the time and energy or offering the leadership or resources she generously provided. We extend our respect and deepest gratitude for her genuine committment to the foundation and those it has served.
We encourage each person whose lives are affected by the diagnosis of cancer, to seek assistance and resources from the variety of valuable resources our community provides. We have appreciated the opportunity to learn from and be of service through the Touched By Cancer Foundation.
